On
February 15th the alarm went off much to early. I awoke in my
half-furnished apartment and smiled a smile of excitement and
anticipation. The first team of 28 women were arriving that afternoon and
what an amazing job they had before them. By the time the second team
arrived my excitement was coupled with urgency to finish what was started.
In a little over three and half weeks, two teams of 62 women transformed
the school at the home.

Not only so, but they also gave all of the rooms a
very bright colorful makeover. One girl told me, " Aunty tonight we
will sleep so nicely." But mostly, the women touched the lives of the
children and showed them the meaning of true love.
I would like to thank all the women that came and
gave their time and all the women that could not come but gave time and
gifts for the children. You truly changed their lives. |
