My name is Lisa
Russi. I attend Hessville A/G in Hammond, IN. After graduating from Evangel
University with Bachelor of Social Work in 2003, I spent a year in Bangladesh
working the the children of the Home of Hope Orphanage. On the plane ride home,
I realized that I was being asked to return. I will be returning in the spring
of 2005. This time I will return with a powerful support team praying me
through the next two years.
While in Bangladesh, I will continue to work with the Home children. I would
especially like to train the staff as I have been trained in working with the
children's emotional needs and giving them the love and support they need since
they don't have parents. I would also like to start a mentorship program with
the teenagers that are beginning to transition into living on their own. The goal is to give them sufficient training so that
they can properly raise and mentor our children. The goal is to raise a
generation that is excited about serving God and that are leaders that can
impact their own villages and communities.
